Bilingual Secure Debtor Portal

We had a Wordpress website that was created in 2017, but unfortunately it stopped working last week, so I need a new WordPress-based site that explain our enterprise and that has a separate web page that lets our clients log in, switch between French and English, and immediately see the debtor information we hold in an existing SQL table. The login must work with the classic username + password flow; if adding a simple 2-factor option is straightforward I’m open to that as well.

I would upload the updated SQL table every week using a tool like phpMyAdmin.

Once authenticated, users should land on a dashboard that pulls live data from the table and shows the following fields:

• Account number
• Debt amount and full payment history
• Outstanding balance with due dates
• Current debt status
• Last payment date

You’re free to use native WordPress tools, a custom plugin, or frameworks such as WP-REST API, PHP/MySQL, Elementor, or WPML/Polylang for the bilingual layer—whatever gets the job done securely and cleanly. The SQL connection must remain read-only for visitors, and the site should respect standard security practices (hashed passwords, prepared statements, no exposed credentials).

Deliverable is a working WordPress install (theme + plugins + sample data) that I can drop onto my host, plus brief setup instructions so I can point it at our production database and add new language strings later. If you work in Git, even better; just include the repo link.

I’ll test by creating a user, logging in, toggling languages, and confirming the five data points display accurately from the SQL table.
