Automated SUMO Vehicle Routing Setup -- 2
Budget: $30 – $250 USD
I need an urban mobility simulation comparing two travel options in TAz and between TAZ zones using an OD matrix:
Public Transport scenario (GTFS-based, bus + metro/subway, with walking access/egress) and
Shared E-bike scenario
The simulation should be built in SUMO.
Inputs Available
Network with TAZ zones already defined
OD matrix (zone-to-zone demand)
GTFS public transport data for the area
Scope / Tasks
Configure SUMO network + TAZ and demand loading from the OD matrix
Implement two scenarios (Public Transport vs Shared E-bike)
Run simulations and produce comparable outputs between scenarios
Provide scripts/configuration for reproducible runs (SUMO configs, Python TraCI, etc.)
Output Metrics to Compare (examples)
Please compute and compare, at minimum:
Total travel time (per trip and average)
Waiting time
Walking time
In-vehicle time
E-bike travel time + distance
Total distance (and by mode if applicable)
Network performance indicators (optional): congestion, average speed, delay
Emissions (PT/traffic) if feasible in SUMO
or other possible outcomes depends on sumo
Deliverables
SUMO project setup (network, routes/demand, configs)
Scenario configurations + scripts to run both scenarios
Results summary (tables + charts) and explanation of KPIs
Instructions to run simulation
Freelancer Requirements
Strong experience with SUMO (TAZ/OD demand, routing, public transport)
TraCI scripting (Python preferred)
