I’m putting together three Excel templates that help small-business owners see exactly where their money is coming from and where it’s going—without having to wrestle with formulas every month. Each file should open to a clean, professional landing sheet that guides the user to drop raw data (CSV or manual entries) into a clearly marked table. From there the workbook must do all the heavy lifting through built-in formulas, pivot tables, and slicers—no complicated VBA unless there’s truly no other way.
Here’s what I need each dashboard to deliver:
• A beginner-friendly interface and consistent colour palette so non-accountants feel comfortable exploring the numbers.
• Instant monthly summaries that update the moment new rows are added.
• Category breakdowns that can be filtered by date range or expense type.
• Trend-analysis charts (line, column, or combo) that highlight income growth and cost fluctuations over time.
• Separate printable summary pages formatted for sharing with bookkeepers or lenders.
I’ll supply example data sets so you can stress-test the logic; you’ll return three polished .xlsx files. The templates must run smoothly in the latest Microsoft 365 desktop version and remain readable in Google Sheets if someone uploads them there.
