Project Goal

For the colloquium of my Bachelor thesis at IU International University of Applied Sciences, I require a professional, academic PowerPoint presentation.

The colloquium begins with a 15-minute presentation that must clearly present the entire research process, from the research question through methodology and results to conclusions and recommendations.

The presentation must be scientifically accurate, visually high-quality, and suitable for an academic examination setting.



Mandatory Framework Conditions
• Software: strictly Microsoft PowerPoint (.pptx)
• Template: the official IU PowerPoint template must be used (provided as an attachment and must not be modified)
• Duration: approximately 15 minutes
• Length: ideally 10–12 slides
• Language: English
• Audience: professors and academic examiners



Core Requirement

The presentation must be based strictly on my existing Bachelor thesis.
• No new content
• No independent interpretations
• No simplifications that reduce scientific accuracy

The complete thesis will be provided.



Required Content Structure (Mandatory)

The presentation must be logically structured and academically sound:

Additional Requirement: PowerPoint Professional Pack (PPP)

In addition to the presentation itself, the slides must be visually strong and professionally structured.

A PowerPoint Professional Pack (PPP) shall be created and integrated.

Objective

The presentation should not be text-heavy, but instead:
• visually clear
• well structured
• academically professional



Mandatory PPP Elements

1. Professional Tables
• Tables derived directly from the thesis, for example:
• comparison of sterilization methods
• tendon versus bone
• mechanical property retention in percent
• Clean and consistent table design
• Subtle highlighting only where meaningful (e.g. best-performing method)
• Fully editable in PowerPoint (no screenshots)

2. Charts and Diagrams
• Bar charts, comparison charts, radar charts where appropriate
• Every chart must include:
• a clear title
• labeled axes
• units (percent, MPa, etc.)
• Calm, academic color scheme
• Charts must be self-explanatory without verbal explanation

3. Schematic Graphics (PowerPoint-based)
• Tendon structure (hierarchical)
• Bone structure (cortical versus cancellous)
• Sterilization trade-off: sterility increase versus biomechanical integrity decrease
• Methodological workflow (simplified PRISMA)

No copied external graphics are allowed.
Only clean PowerPoint graphics using shapes, icons, SmartArt or vector elements.

4. Images and Illustrations
• Used sparingly and purposefully
• Scientifically neutral (laboratory, histology, schematic visuals)
• No marketing or stock-photo appearance
• Images must support the scientific message



Design and Style Guidelines
• Academic, calm, professional appearance
• No marketing or flashy design
• Consistent typography according to the provided template

• Bullet points instead of paragraphs
