Midwest Manufacturing Acquisition Prospect Research
Budget: $250 – $750 USD
I need a researcher who can scrape and verify data on privately-held manufacturers in Wisconsin and Minnesota that could become potential acquisition targets for our firm. The focus is on companies with $5-20 million in revenue, at least 10 % EBITDA, a minimum 100,000 sq ft under-roof facility, and preferably 25 + years in business.
Any sector of manufacturing is welcome as long as it is not a metals machine shop, welding, or fabrication operation; consumer goods, automotive parts, food & beverage, plastics, packaging, and similar lines all fit. Publicly advertised “for sale” status is optional—unlisted, family-run operations are equally attractive. While it is not mandatory, I value firms whose ownership is nearing retirement age; the older the owners, the better.
For every qualifying company you locate, deliver a concise profile that includes:
• Company name, website, and primary contact details
• Summary of products and markets served
• Evidence for revenue and EBITDA band (cite source)
• Confirmation of private, family ownership and years in business
• Facility size and any excess real estate noted
• Commentary on ownership age or succession signals
• Explanation of how each point meets my stated criteria
Use whatever reliable sources you find most efficient—industry directories, business listing sites, state filings, trade journals, local news, or direct outreach—but please document every source so I can replicate or validate your findings. Accuracy matters more than volume, yet I am aiming for the largest feasible list of prospects.
If you have questions about edge cases or need assistance accessing regional data sets, let me know early so we can keep the search on track.
