I'm seeking a talented Java developer to create a desktop application for me. The specifics of the application and its purpose are yet to be determined, so I'm looking for someone flexible and creative who can help brainstorm and shape the project.

I want the web crawler to insert data into a database that resides on my server. I will provide the database table and login information. The crawler should ask for the database information before doing anything else. I should have a UI screen where I can input the database details. It should validate the database connection before proceeding to step two. If the connection is unsuccessful then there should be an error message.
The user should proceed to the next screen where it asks for the technology. I would like to have a web crawler created that looks for websites and identifies what technologies those sites are built with. I want to identify websites built with Coldfusion, PHP, ASP, and Python web programming languages. I also want it to identify if the website uses technologies like Bootstrap, AJAX, JS, CSS3, HTML5.
I would like there to be a UI to show sites and the technology it finds. I want to be able to sort these listings by technology type. There should be buttons to Start and Stop the crawl. There should be a button to import the data into the database specifies in step one.
Note that this crawler has to be smart enough to find thousands of coldfusion sites within a reasonable amount of time. In your proposal I want a plan on how to do this.
I also want the crawler to attempt to find contact information on each website found. Perhaps this can be done by searching for the contact us page.
The purpose of this crawler is to find leads for certain technologies.
I must be 100% happy with the web crawler before the milestone is released.
The crawler must pass a code inspection by my lead developer and then by myself. If it does not pass inspection, you will be given the chance to fix any bugs found.
This must work on my Windows Desktop.
