The Problem: Generating construction design specifications and drawings requires a significant investment of resources. Architects and engineers dedicate weeks and months to crafting a design that meets both client expectations and local building code requirements. The ensuing plan check process, involving submissions to the relevant authorities such as local building and fire departments, utility companies, etc, is a prolonged and tedious journey, often spanning weeks, months, and even years. This process involves repeated revisions and resubmissions to incorporate plan check comments and updates to the construction documents.

The Goal: Develop an AI Model that can understand and process construction documentation such as design specifications. The model should be able to extract relevant information from the provided data set documentation and use that information to create accurate and up-to-date design specifications. The AI Model should be able to learn from previous designs and make suggestions for improvements.

Priority Task: Create a minimum viable product (MVP) for text-based design specifications with a fast-tracked timeline. The MVP must have the functionality to analyze and compare two design specification documents, detect any discrepancies in the text, and respond to inquiries. The data set consists primarily of text, with some images/charts included. The development team is empowered to use any required resources and existing OpenAI technologies to deliver the MVP as efficiently as possible.
