Job Description:
We are seeking a highly qualified Ph.D. holder in Computer Science with expertise in artificial intelligence (AI) and machine learning to join our NIH-funded research initiative as a mentor and strategic advisor.
Our research focuses on leveraging AI and machine learning models to address health disparities among underserved populations by analyzing stress markers and developing predictive models that improve diagnostic accuracy while addressing algorithmic bias.
Key Responsibilities:
• Mentorship and Guidance:
o Provide strategic oversight and mentorship to a team of researchers and developers working on AI-driven health modeling.
o Offer expert input on the development and implementation of predictive AI models focused on stress analysis.
• Grant Proposal and Compliance Support:
o Assist in meeting NIH documentation and reporting requirements.
o Ensure alignment with NIH grant policies and ethical AI research standards.
• Strategic Development:
o Advise on incorporating AI tools into health research, focusing on algorithm fairness and data-driven equity solutions.

Requirements:
• Education:
o Ph.D. in Computer Science, Data Science, Machine Learning, or a related field.
• Experience:
o Demonstrated expertise in AI and machine learning with published research (including conference papers).
o Experience in mentorship roles or team leadership within AI-focused projects.
• Skills:
o Strong understanding of predictive modeling, algorithm design, and bias detection in AI systems.
o Proficiency in tools such as Python, TensorFlow, Scikit-learn, PyTorch, and data processing frameworks.
• Eligibility:
o U.S. Citizen or Naturalized U.S. Citizen (required for NIH grant compliance).
o Must demonstrate that this role aligns with their primary employment for the contract period.
