Mathematics Researchers (India, Part-Time, Remote) -- 2
Budget: $35 – $50 USD
We are recruiting a select cohort of accomplished mathematics researchers to contribute to the development of next-generation AI systems for advanced scientific and mathematical reasoning.
Our partner AI labs are building models that must reason at a research mathematician level across advanced fields such as:
number theory, algebra, algebraic geometry, topology, analysis, partial differential equations (PDEs), probability, combinatorics, dynamical systems, mathematical logic, representation theory, mathematical physics, and related areas in theoretical computer science and statistics.
What you will do
- Design and review challenging mathematics problems used for AI training and evaluation
- Evaluate AI-generated solutions, including proofs, derivations, and formal reasoning
- Identify subtle mathematical errors such as incorrect assumptions, unjustified steps, or flawed proofs
- Contribute to improving the reasoning ability of frontier AI models
- Collaborate with a small group of expert researchers and program team members
Who we are looking for
We are seeking researchers with strong mathematical backgrounds, such as:
- Publications in top-tier journals (e.g., Annals of Mathematics, Inventiones Mathematicae, JAMS, GAFA, Communications on Pure and Applied Mathematics, etc.)
- PhD or postdoctoral training from leading global universities
- Prestigious fellowships or awards (e.g., Clay, NSF, Sloan, Simons, Packard, etc.)
- Current or recent roles as PhD candidate, postdoc, faculty, or research mathematician
- Outstanding early-career researchers with strong publication records are also encouraged to apply
Engagement Details
- Position: Part-time Mathematics Researcher
- Location: Remote (India-based applicants preferred)
- Hours: 8–20 hours per week
- Type: W-2 employment (via Cincinnatus LLC)
- Duration: Ongoing, no fixed end date
- Compensation: Based on experience and research background
