Data Breach Management Expertise Needed

I need hands-on help strengthening our information-security posture, with the emphasis squarely on data protection and, more precisely, data-breach management. The goal is to ensure we can detect, contain, investigate, and report any breach quickly while staying fully compliant with the regulations that govern our sector.

Here’s what I require from you:

• Assess my current policies, controls, and incident-response playbooks, flagging any gaps that would slow or complicate breach handling.
• Draft or refine a step-by-step breach-management procedure that maps to key regulations (GDPR, HIPAA, or other relevant frameworks) and specifies roles, timelines, and evidence requirements.
• Supply ready-to-use notification templates for both internal stakeholders and external regulators.
• Recommend practical tooling for detection, forensics, and log retention—think SIEM, EDR, encryption key management—based on the size and tech stack of our organisation.
• Run a remote tabletop exercise so my team can rehearse the first 24 hours of a breach scenario; provide a written debrief highlighting improvements.

Acceptance Criteria
• Documentation must be actionable, align with recognised standards, and assign responsibilities clearly (RACI style).
• The exercise must demonstrate that staff can execute the initial breach response without outside intervention.

First draft of the plan is expected within two weeks of kickoff; the workshop can follow once revisions are settled.
