Stata Panel Dataset Cleaning
Budget: $50 – $70 CAD
I have a large unbalanced panel(772 MB .dta file) that spans January 2000 – December 2018 and contains roughly eight control variables plus one dependent and one key independent variable. Before I begin my Panel regressions in Stata, the file needs a precise clean-up that fully respects the specifications I will share with you.
What I need tackled
• Missing-value treatment
• Format harmonisation: dates, categorical codes and numeric fields must be standardised so they import flawlessly into Stata and run through xt-commands without errors.
Deliverables
1. A ready-to-use .dta file, free of inconsistencies and duplication issues.
2. A reproducible .do file (or an annotated log) that documents every step, including the regression models used for the imputations.
3. A brief summary explaining the decisions taken so I can reference them in my methodology section.
I work on tight timelines, so clear communication and strict adherence to my instructions are essential. If you are comfortable executing regression-based imputation and meticulous data cleaning/formatting in Stata, I’m ready to collaborate right away.
