Fix Data Saving of Short Online Website-Experiment Using Python and Pythonanywhere - 28/10/2023 11:52 EDT
Budget: $30 – $250 USD
I am looking for a Python developer with experience in fixing data saving issues for online python websites that use Django and Pythonanywhere. Our website is a short 2-page experiment involving conversations with ChatGPT. Some basic frontend developing skills will also be required (HTML/CSS, Javascript).
All typed responses from participants and AI assistants should be saved in a dataframe which is populated as they go through the experiment. Responses should be labelled as to whether they were generated by the participant or the AI assistant. Each page in the website should constitute a new column of this dataframe. At the end of the experiment/website this dataframe should be saved as a csv file. Currently, only some data is being saved in CSV format, but it needs to be saved in the correct format.
Other data to be stored is the date and time of completion, the participant ID which is collected at the start of website, and a final response given on the last page of the website.
Here is an example of what the dataframe should look like:
ID - DateTime - ResponseN - Page1Responses - Page1Label - Page2Responses - Label - FinalResponse
1 - 10/25, 10:00PM - 1 - Hello how are you? - Human -
1 - 10/25, 10:00PM - 2 - Good, you? - AI -
1 - 10/25, 10:00PM - 3 - Very well! - Human -
1 - 10/25, 10:00PM - 1 - Hello page two - Human -
1 - 10/25, 10:00PM - 2 - Hi there - AI -
1 - 10/25, 10:00PM - 3 - How are you? - Human -
1 - 10/25, 10:00PM - This is the final response
Currently, we are having an issue with data saving. The data for some participants is never saved even though the complete the entire experiment. The data for other participants is saved, but only in part. We offer a project based remuneration for the resolution of this issue.
Requirements:
- Experience with Python and Pythonanywhere for website development and data saving
- Experience with Django, a python-based web framework
- Experience working with ChatGPT, particularly with ChatGPT using API's
- Ability to troubleshoot and fix data saving issues
- Understanding of data formatting requirements explained above
If you have the skills and experience necessary to fix the data saving function and meet the specific requirements, please submit your proposal. The project has a short one-week deadline.
