Desktop Photo Folder Organizer

My desktop has turned into a maze of photo folders and loose images. I need everything consolidated into one master directory, then sorted strictly by date—using the MM-DD-YYYY format (for example, 04-15-2024). Please keep every original filename exactly as it is; no bulk renaming required.
Deliverable
• A single top-level folder containing sub-folders labelled in the MM-DD-YYYY pattern, with each photo moved to its correct dated folder.
If you notice duplicates along the way, just flag them for me rather than deleting anything. A brief summary of what was moved and any flagged files will wrap the task up neatly.
