iOS Neighborhood Meetup App
Budget: $250 – $750 USD
I’m planning an iOS application that helps neighbors discover one another so they can organise and attend community gatherings. The core flow is straightforward: a user opens the app, sees nearby gatherings on a map or list, taps one, and then joins an integrated group chat or forum dedicated to that event. Real-time messaging is the single must-have feature for this first release; I want neighbours to talk, share photos, and coordinate in the same place rather than jumping to another platform.
Here’s what I need from you:
• A clean, modern Swift-based build (SwiftUI is preferred, though UIKit is fine if you have a strong reason).
• Location awareness that filters gatherings within a chosen radius.
• Secure sign-up/login via Apple ID or email.
• A scalable back-end (Firebase, Supabase, or another cloud service you recommend) powering user accounts, chat threads, and push notifications.
• Basic admin console or in-app moderator tools so I can flag or remove inappropriate posts.
• TestFlight-ready build plus clear instructions for App Store submission.
Down the road I may add event creation tools and RSVP reminders, so designing the data model with that growth in mind will be appreciated.
Please share links to one or two relevant iOS projects you’ve shipped, note which chat or real-time frameworks you’re comfortable with, and outline a rough timeline for an MVP. I’ll be happy to dive into wireframes and detailed user stories once we start.
