Senior WordPress Developer for Wellness Platform
Budget: $250 – $750 USD
We’re looking for a senior WordPress developer to take over the next build phase of a women’s wellness platform. The project is already in development with a solid foundation and design system in place. You’ll focus on data-heavy features for journals, trackers, and assessments with clean UX and reliable performance.
Scope:
Architect data models for journals/trackers (create, edit, aggregate, visualize)
Build custom plugins (PHP) with custom tables and WP REST API endpoints
Implement secure auth, role/permission checks, rate limits, and audit logs
Create exports (PDF/CSV), basic analytics, and time-series charts
Optimize queries, caching, and Core Web Vitals
Integrate with MailerLite and webhooks
Write clear technical documentation and handover notes
Requirements:
5+ years WordPress experience with custom plugin and database design
Strong in PHP, MySQL, JavaScript/TypeScript, and WP REST API
Proven skill in data modeling, security, and performance tuning
Experience with charting and file generation (FPDF/TCPDF or similar)
Git workflow, code reviews, and consistent communication
Nice to have:
Background in privacy-first or wellness applications
Familiarity with data retention and access control best practices
