Power Query OPEX Restructure
Budget: $30 – $250 USD
I need my existing OPEX workbook revamped so that every monthly-product matrix currently laid out in a wide format is transformed into a clean, tall table with Power Query. Once each sheet is unpivoted, all of those tall tables have to roll into one “Consolidation” tab that serves as a single, pivot-ready data source.
Key dimensions the final table must carry in separate columns are:
• Date/Month
• Product Type
• Reporting Position
• Cost Center / WBS
No other calculations or transformations are required—just the structural changes above. I work in Microsoft 365, so you can use the full Power Query and data-model feature set.
Deliverables
1. Updated Excel file containing the refreshed Power Query steps and the consolidated table.
2. Brief in-file documentation (comments or a separate sheet) outlining the query logic, so I can refresh or edit it later.
As long as the output table loads without errors, preserves the four dimensions exactly, and feeds a standard pivot table without further tweaks, the job is complete.
