Targeted Real Estate Data Scraping and Analysis
Budget: $750 – $1,500 USD
Looking for assistance in scraping and analyzing real estate data based on parcel index numbers (PINs). Need to collect location (latitude and longitude of geographic and corners), county, township, dimensions, shape, legal type, legal description, assessed value, property taxes, sales price history, adjacent property owners, and aerial photography for land parcels in various counties in the state of Illinois. Data will be scraped from public GIS websites (DevNet or others) with potential query restrictions for IP addresses.
The scraped and analyzed data will be used for investment decisions including:
1. Determining land parcel suitability for a cellular tower by combining data with radio signal strength, cellular coverage, and local ordinances.
2. Evaluating land parcel suitability for sale to adjacent parcel owners by analyzing data from adjacent land parcels.
3. Assessing suitability for farm equipment storage (vehicles, farm equipment, trailers, RVs, mobile homes) by combining data with local road information.
4. Determining suitability for billboards or signage by combining data with local traffic data.
5. Evaluating suitability for wind turbine or solar panel installation by combining data with sun exposure, wind strength, existing wind turbines, and local ordinances.
6. Evaluating alternative uses for similar parcels.
Additional Notes:
-Need executable and source code.
-Compatibility required for Mac OS X 10.8+, Windows 8+, and Linux Debian 8+, or web-based functionality on Firefox, Chrome, and Edge.
-Must use only free APIs.
-Ability to add future modules separately.
Main Program:
-Import PIN data from file formats (txt, rtf, csv, tsv, xls, xlsx).
-Ability to add counties using GIS web address
-Obtain data from county GIS website and Regrid.com
-Use proxies to avoid query limits.
-Create table with data from GIS/Regrid.
-Generate live map data using existing GIS and inputted data.
-Overlay data from other modules below.
Module 1 - Cell Towers:
-Obtain data from antenna and cellular tower databases such as SBA, American Tower, Crown Castle, Sprint/T-Mobile, AT&T, etc.
-Obtain ordinances data from county/town/village/city.
Module 2 - Adjacent Parcel:
-Obtain same data for parcels adjacent to subject parcel (1st order)
-Obtain same data for parcels adjacent to other parcels that are adjacent to subject parcel (2nd order)
Module 3 - Storage:
-Obtain data from comparable locations such as neighbor.com & stowit.com
Module 4 - Billboard/Signage:
-Determine proximity to major roads (county, state, federal, interstate) and traffic flow (vehicles/day).
-Obtain land use ordinance data from county/town/village/city.
Module 5 - Wind Turbine / Solar Panel
-Obtain wind and sun exposure data from energy.gov.
-Obtain wind turbine location and solar panel location data from usgs.gov & eia.gov.
-Obtain ordinances data from county/town/village/city.
Module 6 - Similar Parcels:
-Obtain same data for parcels with similar dimensions or area within the county.
