Import Vehicle Viability Bot Design
Budget: €750 – €1,500 EUR
I need a Windows-compatible bot to help assess the feasibility of importing vehicles from the UK to Ireland. The bot's key tasks include:
- Scraping data from Autotrader UK: The bot should gather comprehensive information about vehicles listed on this site.
- Comparing with Carzone Ireland: The bot should then cross-reference these vehicles with their counterparts on Carzone Ireland, a key Irish used car marketplace.
The bot will need to:
- Calculate price differences: After adjusting for the exchange rate, the bot should compute the price differential between similar vehicles in both countries.
- Determine taxes and duties: The vehicle registration tax (VRT) and customs duty on importation should also be calculated. To find the VRT figure, the bot will need to access the vehicle's Stat Code.
The end goal is to run this bot daily in order to identify potential buying opportunities.
Ideal skills for this project include experience in web scraping, knowledge of Python or similar programming languages, and an understanding of vehicle importation processes and associated taxes.
