Elite AFL Prediction Models Development

Project Details
We are seeking a skilled machine learning specialist to build predictive models focused on elite-level Australian Football League (AFL) matches. The models will be used to generate structured player-based insights using historical and live match data.

Key Requirements:
Strong experience in ML model development (classification & regression)

Ability to work with AFL-related data (player stats, team data, matchup analytics, etc.)

Capable of building well-documented, scalable code

Delivery within 7 calendar days

Familiarity with Python-based ML pipelines required

Experience building and deploying APIs with FastAPI framework

Proficient in using Git/GitHub for project delivery and collaboration

Deliverables include:
Data sourcing (scraping or via public APIs)

Preprocessing and structuring of data

Model development (multiple player-level performance outputs)

API integration using FastAPI (RESTful endpoints for predictions)

Automated updates and refresh logic for data/models

Upload of the full codebase and documentation to a private GitHub repository
