Data Scientist
Budget: $20 – $30 USD
We are looking to bring on a Data Scientist that will help us derive business value through building any of the following models based on our organization's needs:
- regression
- classification
- neural networks
- reinforcement learning
- recommendation systems
Current Ask:
We have data on up front advances (cash) given to artists based on their current and historical streaming numbers (on Spotify and Apple Music) and back catalog royalties. Information on these deals extends to length of deal, percent of royalties taken, option for additional new songs to be added to the deal, advance amount (in dollars) and categorical variables such as artist size (# of Monthly Listeners) and performance (how lucrative their back catalogs has been while we control the music).
We need to understand how to better predict the rate of depreciation on these deals. Our null hypothesis is that the rate of depreciation on up front advances = 2%, though we have found that different artists of different calibers and genres have a higher and sometimes lower rate of depreciation over time. We would like to bring a Data Scientist on board to help with this experiment.
