Verify Catalog Data Accuracy

I have an internal catalog that is generated from our database but handed off to me as PDF pages and Microsoft Excel workbooks. Before we release the next edition I need a careful, line-by-line verification of the following fields:

• Price
• UPC code
• Index reference
• s-code
• Sale discount shown

Your job is to cross-check each value against the source data, highlight any mismatch, and supply a clean, corrected version of the spreadsheet together with a short summary of the issues you found. Accuracy is critical: if even one UPC or price is off, it causes stock and accounting problems downstream.

You will receive:
– The latest PDF export of the catalog
– The corresponding Excel dump from the database
– A brief field guide that explains our index, s-code structure, and discount rules

Deliverables:
1. A fully reviewed Excel file with all corrections applied (red font for items you changed).
2. A separate “Issue Log” sheet that lists every discrepancy, the original value, and the corrected value.
3. A one-paragraph recap outlining any recurring problems you noticed so we can fix the source data.

Turnaround is flexible within reason, but I’d like to keep progress transparent through two milestones: one after the first 50 % of items, the other on completion. If you are comfortable working with PDFs, Excel (v2016+), and meticulous data QA processes, this should be straightforward.
