Spreadsheet Data Entry from Documents
Budget: ₹12,500 – ₹37,500 INR
I have a stack of physical documents that need to be digitised and organised in a clean, well-structured spreadsheet. Once the data is captured accurately, I will import that sheet into an existing SQL database, so consistency with column names and formats is essential.
Your task is straightforward but demands precision: read each paper record, key every field into the spreadsheet template I provide, and double-check totals, dates, and IDs for typos. If any handwriting is unclear, flag it in a comments column rather than guessing; I’ll resolve those items myself.
I work primarily in Excel but am happy with Google Sheets if that is more convenient for collaboration. Familiarity with SQL standards (MySQL or PostgreSQL) is a bonus because it helps anticipate data-type issues—numeric, text, date—before I run the import script.
Deliverable: a fully populated spreadsheet, error-checked and ready for direct import, returned within the agreed timeline.
Accuracy is more important to me than speed, though I’d like to keep momentum once we start. If you have questions while transcribing, just drop a note in the shared sheet so nothing stalls. Looking forward to working together on this tidy data handoff.
