Project Document Controller - Full project cycle within an EPCM environment

Job ID: 40377502

Budget: $8 – $15 CAD

Project Information and Document Controller
ESSNA and 59Hydrogen are delivering a no CAPEX hydrogen platform across hydrogen-based projects, where engineering performance is directly tied to commercial outcomes. This role sits at the center of that model, connecting engineering documentation, telemetry data, baseline modelling, and billing. The mandate is to maintain a single, auditable source of truth from data capture through to client reporting and invoicing.

The Project Information and Document Controller is responsible for structuring and managing all project documentation and AEMS data flows associated with H59-D Autonomous deployments and industrial projects. This includes maintaining disciplined document control systems, ensuring all engineering and commissioning records are accurate, version-controlled, and aligned with contractual requirements, while also overseeing the integrity and usability of telemetry data for analysis.

A core function of the role is to support baseline modelling and ongoing performance tracking. This involves managing datasets, documenting fundamentals, and ensuring that all outputs are traceable and defensible. Post-deployment, the role ensures that actual performance is consistently measured against the approved baseline, with any discrepancies identified and documented.

The position directly supports the commercial model by ensuring that all reporting and billing outputs are backed by clear data and methodology. This includes preparing structured reporting and invoice support documentation, with full traceability from raw data through to final outputs.

The ideal candidate is highly structured, detail-oriented, and comfortable working with engineering and time-series data. Strong data handling skills are essential, along with the ability to produce clear, client-ready documentation. Inclusive of Microsoft applications and AI assisted processes.

This is a freelance or contract role supporting early deployments and scaling activity. Success is defined by the consistency, clarity, and defensibility of all documentation and data outputs.

Requires a tertiary level command of the English Language. Interviews will all be verbal via teams, project examples will be requested. And a demonstration project will be delivered.
