I have a collection of text-based files and scanned images that must be transcribed and entered, by hand, into my online database. Accuracy is far more important than speed, so every record needs to be double-checked against the source before you move on.
What you will do
• Read each text document or scan, interpret the information, and key it directly into the designated database fields.
• Flag any illegible or ambiguous items for my review rather than guessing.
• Perform a quick self-audit at the end of each batch to make sure all mandatory fields are filled and formatting is consistent.
Deliverable
A fully populated database table that mirrors the original content, free of duplicates and obvious errors, ready for immediate use in reporting. I will run a spot check on 5–10 % of the entries; if everything matches the originals, the project is complete.
