I have a batch of source files that need to be keyed into my existing template exactly as they appear. The work is strictly manual—no macros, OCR, or automated scraping—because accuracy down to every character matters.
The information you will be handling is a mix of letters and numbers (product codes, IDs, reference strings, etc.). I’ll provide the Excel template with locked headers, drop-down validation where needed, and a short set of field notes so you always know what belongs in each column. Your task is simply to open each source file, copy the alphanumeric value, and paste it into the correct cell without altering the formatting.
Deliverable
• The completed template populated with all entries, saved in the same file structure I provide.
• A brief completion log noting any unreadable characters or discrepancies you encounter so I can double-check the originals.
If you are comfortable with careful, repetitive typing and can keep error rates extremely low, this should be straightforward work.
