Italian Company Name Matching in Excel

I need to map non-standard client names in one Excel sheet to their standardized/correct names in another sheet. The strings often differ (abbreviations, punctuation, legal suffixes, etc.), so fuzzy matching / normalization is required—not exact matching.

Example:
Fratelli Marocco → FLLI MAROCCO SRL

Files & Structure
You will receive one Excel workbook with these two sheets:

“Clienti da mappare” (to be matched)

Column A: Clienti 2024 e 2023 (original client name to map)

Column D: Mapping corretto (to be filled by you with the matched standardized name)

“Nomi clienti corretto” (reference list)

Column A: Nome cliente corretto (canonical standardized client name)

Objective
Produce a 1:1 mapping: for each row in Clienti da mappare, populate Column D (Mapping corretto) with exactly one name taken from Nomi clienti corretto[Nome cliente corretto] that best corresponds to the original.


Examples:

Fratelli Marocco → FLLI MAROCCO SRL

Nova Argentia → Industria Farmaceutica NOVA ARGENTIA Srl

Updated Excel workbook (same structure as input):

In “Clienti da mappare”, Column D (Mapping corretto) filled with the matched standardized name for each row.
