Excel 4:2 Driver Roster
Budget: $30 – $250 AUD
I need an Excel roster that schedules 30 drivers across 12 trucks on a strict 7days 7 nights on 28 days rotation. Each shift is 12 hours and must be clearly marked as either DAY or NIGHT on a daily view.
Core data I want visible for every entry:
• Driver’s name
• Assigned truck number
• DAY or NIGHT shift label
The file should auto-cycle the pattern so I can enter a start date and see the entire sequence propagate correctly for all drivers. Colour-coding for day versus night will make the sheet easier to read at a glance, and a locked legend or key would help prevent accidental edits.
Deliverable:
1. A single Excel workbook with the daily roster laid out and ready to use.
2. Simple instructions (in a second sheet or comments) showing how to adjust the start date or swap a driver without breaking the 4:2 pattern.
No macros are essential, but I’m open to formulas, conditional formatting, or Power Query if you feel they streamline updates.
