Excel Data & Phone Lookup
Budget: $250 – $750 USD
I have a collection of mixed data—names, street addresses, and assorted notes—that needs to be cleaned up and entered into a fresh Excel workbook. Each data type should sit in its own dedicated column so the sheet remains sortable and easy to filter later on.
Once the addresses are in place, I also need the best matching phone number for each record. You can draw solely from public records that are freely available online or through government databases; no paid directories are required. Please note the source in a “Phone Source” column beside the number so I can verify anything that looks off.
Core deliverables:
• A single Excel file with separate columns for every field in the original dataset (name, address, city/state/ZIP, notes, phone number, phone source).
• Consistent formatting—proper capitalization, no trailing spaces, and standard U.S. phone layout (###-###-####).
• A brief log sheet within the workbook highlighting any addresses that did not return a phone number after reasonable searching.
I will supply the raw list as a PDF and a handful of scattered text files. If you’re comfortable with data entry, online research, and Excel functions such as text-to-columns and data validation, this task should be straightforward. Accuracy and clear organization matter more to me than speed, but I’d like to wrap it up within a week of kickoff.
