Daily Excel Sales Recording

I keep all my shop’s figures in a single Excel workbook and need the sales side updated every day. You’ll be working inside my existing template—no new layout required—entering that day’s sales data so the built-in formulas roll straight into the Daily Profit/Loss sheet.

Flow is simple: open the file I send each morning, add the sales tickets (date, item, quantity, price), confirm the profit/loss tab refreshes without #REF! or balance mismatches, then return the workbook before the close of business. Only sales go in; expenses and inventory are handled elsewhere, so they stay untouched.

Accuracy and consistency matter more than speed. A solid grasp of Excel formulas (SUMIFS, VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP) is essential because if anything breaks you’ll need to spot and fix it on the spot. I exchange the file through Google Drive, so a reliable internet connection and the desktop version of Excel are assumed.

Deliverable each day: the updated workbook, formulas intact, profit/loss numbers matching the cash register total. If that sounds straightforward, we can start immediately and keep it rolling long-term.
