Convert Financial PDFs to Excel
Budget: $250 – $750 USD
I have a stack of financial PDFs that must be turned into a clean, formula-driven Excel workbook. Once the figures are captured, I only need one calculation—summing totals—but every total has to be traceable back to its source line, so accuracy is critical.
You can use any reliable toolkit you prefer (OCR, Power Query, VBA, or plain Excel functions) as long as the final file is fully editable and free of hard-coded values. Please plan on a brief progress check-in every few days so I can spot-verify data and keep the project moving.
Deliverables
• An Excel file containing:
- Raw data extracted from each PDF (one sheet per document is fine)
- A clearly labeled summary sheet where all required totals roll up automatically
• A short log noting any extraction issues or adjustments you made
If the numbers reconcile and the workbook calculates without errors, I’ll sign off immediately. The second step requires that the clean data be pulled by category into a well designed and organized sheet (I’ll do my part to identify what charge = what category) and finally tallied into totals. I’m ready to get started as soon as you are.
