Freelance Developer Needed – Siemens PLC Data Extraction & SQL Integration

We are looking to hire an experienced freelance developer/engineer for a data acquisition and alarm monitoring project involving Siemens PLCs.

Project Overview:
We have 10 industrial machines, each containing:

16 Spout PLCs per machine

1 Main Server PLC per machine

Your task will be to:

Establish communication with all PLCs (Siemens-based)

Extract and structure data from:

Spout PLCs (16 per machine)

Main Server PLC (1 per machine)

Store the collected data in a SQL database

Implement communication alarm logic:

If any of the 8 spouts in a line fails to communicate with the software, a real-time alarm must be generated

Requirements:
Strong hands-on experience with Siemens PLCs (S7-1200/1500 preferred)

Proficiency in PLC communication protocols (e.g., S7, OPC UA, Modbus, etc.)

Experience in data logging to SQL databases

Ability to implement alarm logic and error handling

Knowledge of Python or C# (preferred) for building the communication interface

Prior experience in industrial automation projects is a plus

Location: Remote / On-site (if required – optional)
