Power BI Unified Data Model
Budget: ₹1,500 – ₹12,500 INR
I have fifteen Power BI reports that each pull data from SQL Server through separate queries. Although they focus on different views, they all share several core dimensions—Customer, Product, Date and, most importantly, PatientID. Maintaining so many individual files has become cumbersome, so the task is to merge everything into one robust data model that refreshes in a single run.
You’ll need to extract every existing query, design a star-schema-friendly dataset, and recreate the current visuals so they work seamlessly against the consolidated model. DirectQuery or Import with incremental refresh is fine, provided one scheduled refresh in the Power BI Service can update the whole model without errors.
Timeline is tight—three days—and the budget is a fixed ₹10,000, so immediate full-time focus is assumed.
Deliverables
• A single .pbix containing the unified dataset, relationships and measures
• All fifteen report pages rebuilt inside that file, visuals intact
• Handover notes or a short walkthrough video detailing parameters and the refresh setup
Acceptance criteria
The model must reconcile accurately against the original reports and complete a full refresh in the service using one schedule.
If SQL Server–based modelling in Power BI is second nature to you and the timeframe is comfortable, this engagement should be straightforward.
