OPC UA SCADA Platform Build
Budget: ₹150,000 – ₹250,000 INR
I’m rolling out a multi-line SCADA and industrial monitoring platform for pharmaceutical production and need a specialist who already lives and breathes OPC UA. The heart of the job is machine-level data integration—my priority is rock-solid, high-volume logging of Machine / Line / Batch information into SQL Server, fed by a multi-threaded OPC UA client you will write and tune.
Key elements you’ll tackle
• OPC UA-based machine data integration (no Modbus or proprietary protocols)
• High-throughput SQL Server logging and archive strategy
• Alarm classification with criticality levels and an integrated issue & service module
• Real-time dashboards via SignalR inside an ASP.NET Core app built on the Serenity framework
Deliverables I’m expecting
1. Multi-threaded OPC UA client library with documented reconnect and subscription handling
2. Data-handling layer that persists machine, line, and batch records at production speeds
3. Alarm/issue module with severity buckets and basic workflow hooks
4. SignalR dashboard pages that surface live KPIs and alarms
5. Deployment script(s) and concise technical documentation
Acceptance criteria
– End-to-end ingest test demonstrates sustained high-volume logging without data loss
– Latency on dashboard updates ≤ 1 second under nominal load
– All alarms reach correct severity bucket and are stored retrievably
– Code passes peer review and static analysis; unit tests cover core data handlers
Timeline is tight: 4-6 weeks from kickoff to first production trial, so proven experience matters. When you reply, include at least one reference project showing an OPC UA client you built or maintained in a SCADA / MES context, along with brief details on data rates handled. This is a contract engagement; I’ll be available daily for quick decisions and technical clarifications.
