IMCA Competence Framework App Prototype

Project Brief: IMCA Competency Framework App (Power Apps / M365) – Demo Prototype
We are looking for a Power Apps developer with experience in Microsoft 365, Dataverse/SharePoint, and workflow automation to build a demo prototype of an internal competency management application based on the IMCA C-005 Competence Framework (ROV personnel).
The purpose of this demo is to showcase the concept to our client and secure approval for a full-scale project.
Objective
Create a functional Power Apps prototype that demonstrates how a company can manage IMCA C‑005 competency assessments digitally. The app should support three user roles:
1. Employees (Candidates)
- View required IMCA C‑005 competency tasks for their role level
- Submit evidence, notes, and task completion updates
- Track progress toward competency approval
2. Assessors
- Review submitted tasks
- Verify competency evidence
- Provide comments, feedback, and approval/rejection of tasks
3. Department Manager
- Review completed and assessor‑verified competencies
- Formally approve employees for higher roles/levels
- View status dashboards and pending approvals
Prototype Scope (Demo Version)
The demo should include:
- A simple Power Apps canvas or model‑driven app (developer’s recommendation accepted)
- Basic data structure for:
- Competency tasks (IMCA C‑005 aligned)
- Users and roles
- Task submissions and assessor verification
- Simple workflow showing:
- Employee submits → Assessor verifies → Manager approves
- Basic dashboard or progress overview
- Clean UI demonstrating the concept
This is not the full production system—only a proof‑of‑concept to demonstrate functionality and user flow.
Technical Requirements
- Built in Microsoft Power Apps (Canvas or Model‑Driven)
- Data stored in Dataverse or SharePoint Lists (developer may propose best option)
- Integration with Power Automate for approval flows
- Must be compatible with standard M365 business environment
