data recovery from a locked external WD drive

I protected my hard disk with a password some years ago as I never wanted to use the drive it has all my photos and data from my old laptops. Now I have not saved the key anywhere and I can't seem to remember the password. I need help to recover all the data from this external WD hard disk. Please note the drive belongs to me and has always been in my possession.
