Vehicle Price Scraper Tool
Budget: £20 – £250 GBP
I want a small but reliable tool that lets me zero-in on the cheapest cars on the market. For a first release I only need it to scan Gumtree, FB Marketplace, Autotrader and all major sites selling vehicles, pulling live listings that match the filters I enter—budget, year, make, model, mileage, and whether it’s a main-dealer or private sale.
Core functions I expect:
• Real-time search on all major sites based on my chosen filters.
• Automatic sorting by Price (my top priority) with mileage and year still visible.
• Side-by-side price comparison of identical models so I can spot outliers quickly.
• Clean, searchable output—CSV, Google Sheet, or a simple web dashboard, whichever is quickest to deliver.
Bonus - As a bonus if it was able to indicate should that car be a good choice to purchase as the main reason for this is to make a living and sell said cars for profit.
A basic, working prototype that does the above is enough for now; if it performs well I’ll look at extending it later to Autotrader or Motors and adding extra refinements.
