Organize PDF Text by Category

Job ID: 40544418

Budget: £750 – £1,500 GBP

I have a collection of PDF files whose text needs to be pulled out and reorganized so the material is easy to browse and reference later. The assignment is strictly about the text—no images, tables, or charts—so you can focus on accurate extraction and clear categorisation.

You will read each PDF, capture every relevant passage, and place it under the appropriate topic heading that you create as you go. Think along the lines of a hierarchical outline where main themes appear first, followed by any useful sub-topics. The finished work can live in a structured Word document, Google Doc, or spreadsheet—whichever lets me filter or jump between categories quickly.

Key points to keep in mind
• All text must remain verbatim; do not paraphrase.
• Categories should be self-explanatory and consistent across every file.
• If you use OCR tools (e.g., Adobe Acrobat, ABBYY, or an open-source equivalent), proofread the output so spelling and punctuation match the source.
• Provide the original page reference beside each excerpt for quick cross-checking.

Deliverable
A single, well-structured file containing the categorized text from all PDFs, ready for immediate use.
