Data Extraction from a Japanese Website related to Water Quality within 2–3 days
Project Description
I’m looking to hire a freelancer to develop a standalone web scraping tool that can navigate through a specified website, extract relevant fields, and output the data in a clean, structured format. The tool should also include robust error handling and detailed logging.
What I Need
• Connect to the target website and iterate through all paginated pages
• Extract specific data fields from each page (e.g., latitude, longitude, date, etc.)
• Maintain a clear and informative log of scraping progress and any encountered errors
• Save the data in a clean CSV file
Requirements
• Proven experience with web scraping (using Python, BeautifulSoup, etc)
• Ability to efficiently handle multi-page scraping
• Deliver clean, structured, and readable data
• Complete the project within 2–3 days
• Japanese language proficiency is a bonus, as the website content is in Japanese
Deliverables
1. Fully commented scraper source code
2. a CSV file containing all extracted fields
