JATS XML Conversion Specialist
Budget: ₹1,500 – ₹12,500 INR
I need a specialist to convert scientific documents from PDF to JATS XML format. The primary purpose is for data analysis.
Requirements:
Responsibilities
Convert PDF journal articles into JATS XML (1.3 compliant).
Perform Header and References XML conversion, including:
Full author affiliations with institutional tagging (from header & end of article).
ORCID, copyright, license, DOI, URL, eLocation ID.
Proper <addr-line> tagging (city, state, country).
Funding information (from acknowledgments if not explicitly mentioned).
Encode references with precise tagging:
Each reference separately tagged (no combined references).
Avoid duplicate tags (<year>, <fpage>, <volume>).
Use <elocation-id> for article numbers.
Clean up DOI/URL spacing and formatting issues.
Retain math as text glyphs (no MathML).
Ensure correspondence <corresp> elements include full affiliations (not just emails).
Ideal skills and experience:
Strong knowledge of JATS XML (NLM 1.3) standards.
Proven experience with journal publishing workflows.
Ability to deliver error-free XML under tight deadlines.
