Extract Data to Excel
Budget: £5 – £10 GBP
I have a collection of PDFs and existing Excel files that contain plain-text information. From each document I need things captured and transferred into a new Excel workbook:
• some numerical values that appear in the text
• any keywords or phrases I’ll supply before you start
For each match, record the source file name, page or sheet reference, a short context snippet, and the exact value or keyword found. Accuracy is critical—no missed figures and no transcription errors.
Feel free to use whatever method suits you best (Python with pdfplumber/tabula-py, Power Query, VBA, etc.). Just let me know the approach so the process can be repeated later.
Deliverables
1. A clean, well-structured Excel spreadsheet containing all extracted numbers and keywords/phrases.
2. (Optional but appreciated) the script or step-by-step notes you used for the extraction.
