Clean & Extract Invoice Data

I have a folder of scanned invoices that need two things: first, the images themselves must be cleaned up; second, key details from each invoice have to be captured in Excel.

The source scans suffer from blurry text and, in some cases, parts of the page are missing. Your first task is to restore readability wherever possible—de-skew, sharpen, and patch missing edges so the document looks complete enough to read. Once a page is truly beyond recovery, tag it so I know follow-up is required; otherwise, move on to data capture.

From every usable invoice I only need two fields pulled: the invoice date and the total amount. Place them in a single worksheet with one row per invoice and clearly labelled “Date” and “Amount” columns. I will provide a handful of sample files so you can demonstrate your approach before we go full scale.

Deliverables
• Cleaned or clearly flagged invoice files (PDF or image)
• Excel file containing Date and Amount for each processed invoice, 100 % accurate on the entries that remain readable

Tools are up to you—Adobe Acrobat, ABBYY, Tesseract, Python, or straight manual entry—so long as the final output meets the above acceptance criteria. Let me know your estimated turnaround and how you plan to quality-check the results.
