quick excel file transformation
Budget: $30 – $250 USD
**Excel Data Transformation Task**
**Objective**:
We need you to reformat an Excel sheet containing doctor duty schedules, converting the existing data into a more structured CSV format.
**Background**:
The current Excel sheet has time ranges spanning across multiple merged cells (e.g., 8:00-9:00 across cells A2 to A8). Each time range corresponds to the duty hours for the day. In subsequent columns, we have dates as headers, and under each date, we have the names of the doctors on duty for that time range.
**Tasks**:
1. **Data Preparation**:
- Create a new Excel sheet.
- In the first row of the new sheet, please set the headers as: "Start", "End", and "Description". These represent the start time, end time, and the doctor's name, respectively.
2. **Data Transfer**:
- Transfer the information from the original sheet to the new format.
- For each date and time range from the original sheet, transpose the information to the new sheet.
- Note: If there are five doctors on duty during a specific time slot (e.g., 8:00-9:00) on a particular date, you should add five individual rows with the same date and time range, but with different doctor's names in the "Description" column.
3. **Final Deliverable**:
- Save the new sheet in a CSV format.
- Ensure there are no errors, misaligned data, or missing entries.
**Expected Outcome**:
By the end of this task, we should have a cleanly formatted CSV file with clear start times, end times, and doctor names corresponding to their duty hours for each date.
**Additional Notes**:
Please make sure to review the data thoroughly to ensure accuracy. Any anomalies or discrepancies noticed during the transformation process should be highlighted and communicated to us immediately.
