Converting documents to MS Word in a our firm format/style
On an ad hoc basis, we need assistance converting documents (typically legal agreements) into our firm format. An example may be that we have a PDF copy of a Business Purchase Agreement and we need this document converted into MS Word and more particularly, into our format/style (with correct auto-cross referencing of clause numbers and page numbers, correct use of auto-clause numbering and subclause numbering and correct use of headings and subheadings etc). This is often not a straight-forward task as when you convert the agreement into our format – care needs to be taken that the legal effect of the document is not being inadvertently changed. This is because the original PDF copy of the agreement will typically use different styles of headings, clauses numbers and subclause numbers to that used in our template agreements.
We need someone who is:
(a) skilled in MS Word;
(b) has close attention to detail; and
(c) is capable of being able to editing legal documents to make sure that when the original document is converted into a MS Word our format/style – that the legal effect of the document remains unchanged. (I can explain this by way of example if need be).
Typically, when we get instructions to prepare a legal document – and we need the above help - we need this help on an urgent basis and a quick turnaround in required.
Power Point presentations
From time to time we will need assistance preparing power point presentations.
Firstly, we need a Smailes Krawitz precedent power point template.
Secondly, for some of us in the firm that are less skilled with power point, the way it might work is we may draw on a piece of paper what we want a slide to look like and we need you to be able to turn our handwritten notes into professional looking slides using our branding/style etc.
