Web Scraping: Find 5 data points for all 2022, 2024, 2026 trucks, vans, and SUV type vehicles.
We require the following datapoints for all 2022, 2024, 2026 trucks, vans, and SUV type vehicles:
* Gross Vehicle Weight Rating (GVWR) (lbs.)
* Payload (lbs.)
* Curb Weight (lbs.)
* Vehicle Length (in)
* Wheel Base (in)
* Source of data (example: www.edmunds.com, cars.com, or carmax.com)
***Attached is an excel sheet containing data for 2018, 2020 vehicles to be used as an example***
Gross Weight, GVWR, Gross Vehicle Weight Rating (GVWR) (lbs.) are different names for the same thing.
Typically, Gross Weight or is equal to the sum of Payload and Curb Weight, so for GVWR, Payload and Curb Weight, it is acceptable if only 2 of them are available.
Most will be found easily on www.edmunds.com. The names of the cars and trim levels match perfectly.
www.edmunds.com might not list Gross Weight and Payload for some smaller cars.
However, Gross Weight and Payload can usually be found on cars.com or carmax.com or the manufacture's site.
We have a lot of cars due to listing every trim style, many of the cars have the same wheelbases and overall lengths for every trim style. However, Trucks and Vans lengths and wheelbases can vary with trim style.
The point is, there are not so many unique data points. Many can be entered once and populated down the sheet. As a result, this project could take 40 hrs. to do completely manual.
I'm going to post and then give freelancers time to understand the project before awarding.
