Text Records Database Entry
Budget: $15 – $25 USD
I have a set of text-based records that must be entered directly into our central database. This is pure database entry—no spreadsheets and no online form fillers—so you’ll be working inside the live tables, following the field-by-field guide I provide.
You will receive the source documents (mainly PDFs and Word files), a data-mapping sheet that shows exactly where each element belongs, and remote access to the staging environment. Accuracy is essential: every character, capital letter, and punctuation mark needs to appear exactly as it does in the original. The system’s built-in validation rules will help catch obvious mistakes, but I’ll still perform random spot checks before sign-off. The task is considered complete when all required fields are populated, there are no validation errors, and duplicate checks come back clean.
Familiarity with common database back-ends—whether SQL, NoSQL, or Access—is helpful, and the sooner you can begin, the better. If you’re detail-oriented and comfortable entering text directly into a database, I’d love to move forward with you.
