Software Performance Optimization Project

Job ID: 40098232

Budget: $15 – $25 USD

I already have a working software application in production; what it lacks is the snappy, responsive feel our users expect. My main goal is to improve its overall performance and speed without changing core functionality or user workflows.

You will start by profiling the current build, identifying bottlenecks in memory usage, CPU cycles, disk I/O, or any other hotspots that slow the experience. From there, optimise the codebase and, where practical, refactor modules so the application launches faster, processes data quicker, and runs more smoothly under heavy load.

Deliverables I need to see:
• A brief diagnostic report highlighting the key performance bottlenecks you discovered
• The updated, fully working source merged into our existing repository (Git)
• Before-and-after benchmarks that clearly demonstrate measurable speed improvements
• A concise change log so future maintenance remains straightforward

The stack is straightforward—no exotic libraries—so feel free to suggest best-practice tools for profiling, caching, or parallelism if they will raise the speed ceiling. Testing should be automated as far as possible; unit and integration tests must still pass.

If you have a track record squeezing every millisecond out of established codebases, this assignment should be right in your wheelhouse.
