Robotic Arm Control System Development
Budget: $1,500 – $3,000 USD
Looking for a software engineer with lots of experience writing programs for robots and their UI.
I built a mechanical robotic arm with 6 joints and 1 additional rotational axis.
It’s a slow moving operation and does not require a high level of accuracy.
The way I would like to operate this device is as follows:
I will define 8 positions and in each position I can define the angle in which each of the joints ahs moved in order to get to this position.
After entering this date, I expect the software to “stitch” the complete motion from the 8 positions. It should also be able to smooth the motion if for example there is a “bump”.
That complete cycle motion can then be “played” over and over. It should be able to get saved for future use.
In the UI other than the recording and play-back mode described above, there should be a sliding scale type screen allowing to manually adjust each of the 8 positions one way or another.
Further, there should be a joy stick that is programed already to move the end point of the robotic arm in 6 directions: Up, Down and 4 sides, and the joints will know how much each needs to move to get these 6 movements.
We have not yet purchase the electronic hardware so we are open to recommendations and cost is a big factor in consideration due to the number of units we plan to build.
