We are looking for a detail-oriented typist and translator to convert scanned/handwritten recipe book images into digitally editable, multilingual text documents. Your role involves accurate typing, translation (optional), and formatting to create professional, searchable recipe collections for global audiences.
Key Responsibilities:
Image-to-Text Conversion:
Type recipes from scanned PDFs, photos, or handwritten notes into Word/Google Docs with 100% accuracy.
Preserve original measurements (cups, grams, tbsp) and cooking terms (e.g., "fold," "simmer").
Translation (Optional Add-On):
Translate recipes into a target language (e.g., Spanish, French, Arabic) while keeping local ingredient names (e.g., "cilantro" vs. "coriander").
Formatting & Consistency:
Apply uniform styling (bold headings, bulleted steps, consistent spacing).
Convert regional measurements (e.g., US cups → metric grams) if needed.
Requirements:
Fast & accurate typing (60+ WPM, 99%+ accuracy).
Basic translation skills (if applying for multilingual projects).
Familiarity with cooking terms in both source and target languages.
Attention to detail (no missing ingredients or steps!).
Preferred Skills:
Experience with OCR tools (Adobe Scan, CamScanner) for clearer text extraction.
Knowledge of dietary labels (vegan, gluten-free, halal) for proper tagging.
Deliverables:
