Quick-Invoicing System for Environmental Testing Lab
Budget: $250 – $750 CAD
Create a quick-invoicing program. for an environmental testing lab; for quick-receipt of payment from walk-in clients.
- MS Excel or MS Access. local network or single device storage.
- 1 screen "menu" that pulls up existing walk-in customers, or can add new ones.
- has a new invoice each time the sheet is opened (preferably sequential, starting with last 2 digits of the year; ie: 2026 = 260001
- 'list' price is added. 'discount' can be added at our company's discretion as an item.
- pre-populates an invoice with common services, with customer-specific prices
- the services have different priorities (Normal, rush, emergency); think of a restaurant menu of adding 'extra' items to a routine menu item
- compile items into an invoice, preferably on the same screen as the 'order'.
- rolling subtotal, and add a tax (5% "GST")
- once the order is compiled, it shows or compiles a final form that can be viewed and confirmed
- 2 buttons to save the form data into a 'transactions completed' sheet showing the date, invoice #, payment method, etc.; once the button is pressed to confrim payment (from debit/credit card or else receipt of cash).
- final form prints in duplicate on an 8-1/2" x 11" (this will be a specific printer, pre-loaded with a perforated 8-1/2" x 11" sheet; top & bottom are just duplicates - 1 for company, other for customer)
- data entry sheet resets with new invoice and date.
- security; need a 4-digit security code to open the next form for data entry & operations
- ms excel attached to this project is a rough visualization; but the invoice should be fairly routine.
- final form will require our company header and information.
- customers & prices 'tab' or section will require management-specific access password
