Power BI Data Integration from Google Sheets and Xero
Budget: $15 – $25 AUD
Project Overview:
We need a skilled freelancer to integrate data from Google Sheets and Xero into Power BI to create and update dashboards for financial reporting. The goal is to pull data dynamically, starting from the current fiscal year (2023–2024) and for future fiscal years, ensuring accurate and frequent updates in Power BI.
Data Sources:
- Fixed Expenses: Already in Google Sheets (native format) on one tab, with weekly and monthly totals in specific cells. If the fixed amount changes, it should update into Power Bi dashbaord for that month / week.
- Variable Expenses: Stored in Xero. Needs to be pulled via Zapier and saved to a new tab in the existing Google Sheet.
- Advertising Expenses: Stored in Xero. Needs to be pulled via Zapier and saved to a new tab in the same Google Sheet.
Power BI Reports to Update:
1. Detailed Report – Net Income (Monthly):
- Add **Fixed Expenses** row (data available in Google Sheet).
- Add **Variable Expenses** (pull from Xero via Zapier, store in Google Sheet).
- Add **Advertising Expenses** (pull from Xero via Zapier, store in Google Sheet).
2. **Detailed Report – Net Income (Weekly)**:
- Add **Fixed Expenses** row (data available in Google Sheet).
- Add **Variable Expenses** (pull from Xero via Zapier, store in Google Sheet).
- Add **Advertising Expenses** (pull from Xero via Zapier, store in Google Sheet).
Technical Details:
- The Google Sheet is connected to Power BI via the web connector and currently refreshes manually. The solution should enable dynamic, frequent updates to maintain accuracy.
- You may need to assist with setting up Zapier to transfer data from Xero to Google Sheets.
Ideal Skills:
- Proficiency in Power BI for creating and updating dashboards.
- Experience with Google Sheets, Xero, and Zapier for data integration.
- Strong skills in data mapping and automation.
Payment Terms:
- Hourly Rate: Must use screen recording for transparency.
- Fixed Rate: Submit an offer before starting work.

- Only data from the current fiscal year (2023–2024) and future years is required.
